----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just in time for Christmas you will now get access to your direct deposits up to two days early. When we receive your funds, so do you, up to two days early. No enrollment and no cost -- just your money, sooner! This service will begin the week of 12/19/2022.

Early Pay is not available for members with a loan that is 30 or more days past due. This service is available at the discretion of SRU Federal Credit Union and may be suspended or revoked at any time. Members who wish to opt out of Early Pay may do so by completing an opt out form.

We’re happy to answer any of your questions via phone, online banking message, or e-mail, but here are some answers to the most common questions:

Q: How do I enroll in early pay?

There is no enrollment needed. If your direct deposit is eligible, you’ll receive your funds as soon as we do, up to two days early! Early pay is not available for members with an SRU FCU loan that is more than 30 days past due. This service is available at the discretion of SRU Federal Credit Union and may be suspended or revoked at any time.

Q: How do I set up direct deposit?

To set up a direct deposit, speak with your employer regarding their policies and options. Most employers will require your account number and routing number. SRU FCU’s routing number is 243384981. If your employer requires account verification please feel free to contact the office – we’ll be glad to help!

Q: Is there a waiting period for the service to take effect?

Once you are enrolled in direct deposit, there is no waiting period for Early Pay. As soon as your first direct deposit is scheduled to hit your account, you will receive your direct deposits up to two days early.

Q: Are transfers impacted by Early Pay?

No. Early Deposit will not impact any transfers you have set up through your accounts. The dates of your transfers will remain the same.

Q: Can I opt out of Early Pay?

If you are interested in opting out of early pay, you must complete an opt out form.

Q: Why do I still see a pending deposit in my account?

If you see a pending status on your direct deposit the effective date may be more than two days from when the payment is scheduled. If your loan is past due 30 days or more, or if you have opted-out of Early Pay your direct deposits will not post until the date specified by the payer.

Q: Does direct deposit impact holidays and weekends?

Direct deposits are posted on business days Monday through Friday. Direct deposits are not posted on holidays or weekends for any accounts.

Q: Why did I receive my pay early one payday but not the next?

Some employers do not distribute funds at the same time for each pay period. Unfortunately we do not have control of when employers disburse or date direct deposits, but if we receive it early, we will release the funds to your account, up to two days early.
